Tie Dye Fruity Pebbles Crusted Waffles

One of my favorite food trends over the last year is “Unicorn Food”. All those sparkly unnaturally rainbow colored foods that looks like they’re made of Play-doh rather than actual food. Like the Unicorn Frappuccino from Starbucks and Unicorn Toast from, well every Pinterest search for toast, and now my Tie Dye Fruity Pebbles Crusted Waffles. It’s fun, it makes people happy, and in all reality it makes us feel like a kid again; which it’s always fun to pretend we don’t have to eat the usual shit sandwich of being an adult.

While we’re in the golden age of health food and overall craze of if you eat processed foods you’ll die; it’s always fun to insert the occasional Unicorn Food. Think of your waffle as the sugary sweet, slightly makes you uncomfortable, distant cousin to kale. You don’t really want her around all the time but her acid tripping looking self gets you all excited. Okay so these waffles won’t cause hallucinations, but they’re such a fun way to impress overnights guests and kids alike. Plus you get to use that waffle maker you’ve probably pulled out once a year since you got it in 2015. Let’s keep the Unicorn Food trend alive with these Tie Dye Fruity Pebbles Crusted Waffles.

::ALL YOU NEED::

Farmhouse Waffle Mix

Neon Food Color

Whipped Cream

Fruity Pebbles

Make a batch of waffle mix according to instructions. Separate into four bowls and dye each bowl a different color with the neon food colors. Dollop a little of each colored waffle mix on the hot waffle iron and blend colors with a fork or tooth pick, just enough to look tie dye and not mix fully. Let waffle cool completely, smear whipped cream on waffle edges and coat with Fruity Pebbles. Place a dollop of whipped cream on top and serve. Enjoy your Unicorn Food!
