DIY Lavender Tea Bag Sachet

Between traveling, long drives, my car being my extended shoe closet, and outdoor adventures, sometimes my car can use a little help on the stuffy smell side. I’ve tried the store bought car clips but the smells are usually really unnatural and headache causing after about a week. In an effort to get my car smelling fresh and naturally clean I decided to make my own freshener; this DIY Lavender Tea Bag Sachet! Perfect for cars, closets, bags, or any another other place you’re looking to have a delicious fresh Lavender scent. Enjoy!

::MATERIALS::

doTERRA Lavender essential oil, lavender potpourri, fabric (2 squares about 5×5 inches each), scissors, sewing needle, thread, thin piece of fabric or string (for your teabag string)DSC01434 DSC01435

::INTRUCTIONS::

1. Cut your fabric into two small squares identical in size, and two tea bag shaped pieces identical in size. Thread your needle and sew all edges of the small square, leaving a small opening to stuff in potpourri. Once stuffed with a little potpourri, finish sewing the edges closed.

2. You’re now going to do the same thing with the tea bag shaped fabric pieces. Sew the two pieces together along the edges, leaving just enough space to stuff in potpourri. Make sure you don’t cut the thread because once stuffed, you’ll finish sewing the edges, closing the sachet.DSC01457

3. Put a few drops of your Lavender essential oil on both sides of your tea bag.DSC01459

4.  Sew one end of your string to the small square and the other end to the top of your tea bag.
