Yellow High-Low

Yellow is one of those colors I always love on other people and never remember to look for when I go shopping. It’s fun, its happy, it dwells in our favorites… bananas, pineapples, rubber duckies, and sunflowers (my favorite). Even better; the shades are endless. Give it to me in lemon, mustard, parmesan, saffron, I don’t care, I’ll take it. Yellow is a delightful summer statement and my first Crayola choice for every child restaurant menu. I’m glad I finally remembered to buy yellow on my last quick shopping trip.

This long sleeve button up tunic from Free People is my new favorite yellow piece. The light woven fabric is light and comfy and versatile enough to wear from season to season. I broke up the long length by tucking the front into high waisted jean shorts and letting the back hang low. I’m a very short person so pairing this outfit with a pair of heels not only helps to lengthen my legs but to also dress up this simple outfit.
