Making The Most Of Winter Fashion

Some people may feel sad to say goodbye to winter, but it can create some of the best fashion trends of the season. There are plenty of winter accessories that we see hitting the runway, some of which may include french berets and faux fur and there is a good excuse to go shopping!. How can you possibly choose from so much when you’re looking at online fashion. From tops to culottes, there is so much online that we can choose from, does this mean that there are more things we can choose online than there is in the local high street store? Do we buy our clothes first and accessories later or vice versa? All this may determine where we shop.

If you’re one of the people who chooses accessories first and the outfits later, you can choose your outfits based upon colours and design. For example, if you looked recently and bought yourself a brand new Casio watch that has recently been in fashion, you may think that it can’t be styled easily because it is a man’s watch and it won’t suit your aesthetic. However, if you look beyond this, you can certainly get away with chunkier metals and accessories because it is winter. Winter months are the epitome of chunky knitwear fashion! How you choose accessories is mostly due to the time of year, and so in the summer, we will often find ourselves reaching for dainty jewellery and items because it’s a cooler option for those hot days. Any backwards way of thinking does have some sense, in that once you find a pieces that you like, you can then look to see which items of clothing would go well with it. If you find a beret that is in aubergine colour, you may think that your whole outfit will have to match, but you’ll find that blacks and blues and muted colours can also work well with this accessory.

Many people are scared of going big with their items of clothing and accessories for fear of making themselves look bigger, which is definitely a shame for many as oversized style can be flattering and also practical especially in the colder months. Winter is the time to experiment with looks and outfits, you can get away with so many weird and wonderful styles you probably couldn’t in the Summer months, so get experimenting! You never know, you may find a new style you never thought would suit you, just by doing something outside your usual safe zone. 2020 is the year of accessories so it seems, including feathers and bright colours and stripes which we have seen on the runway

It can give you so much confidence to try more new things when it comes to style and it’s continuing to grow. Step out of your comfort zone and try things that you have always wanted to but perhaps didn’t dare to you, more often! Bigger is better and the winter fashion trends are certainly not leaving anytime soon!
