Mid summer, as my hair frizzes to a fro and the leather seats in my car cause second degree burns on my thighs, I dream of Fall rolling in. Unfortunately on the east coast, Fall is all of 16 days, then winter rolls in like the cold bitch she is and ruins my next few months of outfit ideas. But this year I’m fighting back. And by fighting I mean wearing the fall clothes I love like this Floral Long Sleeve Wrap dress knowing full well its cold outside. And while I’ve always leaned towards large sweaters and layers for colder days but I’ve had a real love affair with wrap dresses lately. Especially this floral long sleeve wrap dress from Urban Outfitters that caught my eye immediately.
We’ve been pretty lucky this year with the last few weeks close to 55 degrees and I’ve been milking every degree, styling with layers for warmth. I plan to do so until we’ve reached a freezing point. Let us enjoy the unseasonably mild weather we’ve been experiencing on and off and give our kneecaps one final hurrah, shall we?
I know you’re wondering why I’d post about a midi wrap dress mid-December, the answer being that this dress was too gorgeous not to talk about posthaste. With the impending winter, you can still layer this dress with tights or thigh high boots and a sweater. Never forget the layering aspect your summer, fall, spring clothes can add to your winter outfits.
P.S. I wore this outfit to brunch in DC this day and two days later (today) it dropped to 30degrees and snowed! I may have jinxed us all. Looks like thigh high boots will be worn with this dress next time!
