Tropical Gummies One Broads Journey

Tropical Gummies…How Odd…

Growing up I’ve always had a hard time growing my hair, keeping my skin clear, and growing my nails strong. It took me a long time to realize that everyone is built differently and our bodies can’t all produce enough nutrients to keep ourselves in the best possible shape. Sometimes we need a little help. And after much research, I found Gelatin to be a great product to add into my life eating habits to help with these issues. And hey if my opinions seem unsupported, let me tell you a little story…

My senior year of high school  I decided I would cut my belly button length curly hair to two inches above my shoulder. Left for college, ate… well a typical college diet of ramen and NattyBoh. ZERO nutrients. If you ever think a diet doesn’t effect your body, let me tell you, my hair grew a totally of maybe 2 inches in the entire four years I was in school and on top of that thinned out immensely. It was not until I graduated, completely changed my diet, and started taking vitamins that my skin cleared, my nails didn’t break or bend, and my hair grew over 5 inches in less than 2.5 years. (If you have really curly hair you know that is actually great growth) Gelatin/Collagen has been a big help in that.

According to Nourishing Traditions Gelatin can help by:

> Supporting skin, hair and nail growth

> Can help tighten loose skin (no one likes cellulite)

> Can improve digestion since it naturally binds to water and helps food move more easily through your digestive track

> Great source of dietary collagen (I’ve got bad news for all you skin cream buyers. Collagen is too big for your skin to absorb… it must be digested)

> Its amino acids can help build muscle

In our generation; especially all you vegans, vegetarians, and raw eaters; we do not consume enough amino acids from bones, animal organs, and fibrous tissue that our bodies need. (Can’t say animal organs are high on my list either) Our bodies need these amino acids for hair, skin, and nail growth, optimal immune function and weight loss and maintenance. And do you know where you can find them? In Gelatin!! Okay, I know you’re confused why I keep babbling on when you came here for a recipe right? So here it is; my Pineapple, Coconut, Dragonfruit, Tropical Gummies Recipe. Enjoy!
